I was so enthused by this project that I forgot to take the before photos… but that’s okay! Just imagine these two dressers as black and riddled by pervasive scratches and dents from two decades of wear and tear. Alright, with that image in mind, let’s talk refurbishment and paint.
In my mind, this set’s strength is its cut-out drawer pulls. They’re ribbed and notched. The goal was to make those pop.
Though it was sold in the 1990s, all I could see was its grooviness. I wanted the retro colors to flow and liven up a bedroom’s decor. Sherwin Williams’s Fireweed was the bet, and metallic gold completed the color ideally.
After sanding smooth the entirety of the set, I applied four coats of paint, then sold the set!
