By all intentions, we acquired this table for commercial purposes. A Jens is a Jens. A Jens is quite valuable.
But I made the mistake of staging its photos in our living, and once my wife saw those photos, there was no chance I could sell this piece (especially after I stumbled into its matching side table).
Regardless, it did need some work. No structural issues were present. Made of 100% walnut, the Danish Modern table only required a simple removal of the old finish with a straight-forwarding sanding. Once removed and with blemishes ameliorated, I matched the original finish by reapplying Watco’s Danish Oil. After three days of curing, it was in our living room… not in the showroom.
